The Community Archives Collaborative (CAC) is a peer support and resource-sharing network for memory workers, educators, and activists honoring long traditions of survivance and liberation.

Through mentorship, public programming, and knowledge creation initiatives, the CAC advocates for worlds grounded in collective care and remembrance – for our ancestors, ourselves, and our futures.

In 2023, with support from the Mellon Foundation the CAC formed its first ever Steering Committee. The current Steering Committee is composed of memory workers that center archival practices grounded in care and kinship; Hawaiian Indigeneity, women of the Black Panther Party; New England’s LGBTQ communities; transformative justice in Texas; and queer and trans nuns with the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.
